It is now more than a year since I filed for bankrupcy and she is still in the hands of the Official Receiver, not sold !
Personally,I am out of my bankrupcy (after 1 year,english law)so all my debts have been erased, I have no money, no jobs but free !!
There have been a few prospective buyers for the schooner but nothing comes out of it.
The main problem I think for anybody who is interested is in finishing the project.
She is too big to transport somewhere else easily or at great cost !
So she needs to be finish on site !
Unless somebody does it himself, it has to be done by employing a yard .
We proposed to every prospective buyer to finish her with a 3 persons team over a 3 months period at a labour cost of $ 50,000, which is about a 1/3 of what it will cost by doing it with a yard !
So let's not kid anybody, to finish this project it will cost between buying her, labour cost (us), materials,equipment... between $100,000 and $ 150,000 !!!!
She is still in good conditions as she was lived aboard until June 2007 but now without any electric connections to run automatic pump or anybody living on her she will start to deteriorate rapidly .
Is it the end for her ?? I hope not as it will be a great shame ! So much effort and money has been invested since 2000 in saving her !
Anyway, I am still surprised by the number of visits this website attract (around 12000/year) and so far it amount to nothing !
So come on, somebody, somewhere !
You can get her for cheap !
She is a great schooner worthy of being finish !
And comparatively so little to do !!
